Various pipe materials are used in vacuum sanitation systems. These include - HDPE DIN 8074/75 PE80/100, SDR 11
- U-PVC DIN 8061/62, PN 10
- galvanized push-fit spigot/socket pipe (e.g. Lorovac) DIN 19350
- cast iron (SML) DIN 19522
Pipe diameters are selected to accommodate the flow rates but normally are within the range of 50mm to 90mm OD. The interface valve units can be installed either above or below the main line. This provides great flexibility in route selection particularly in multi-storey construction. Irrespective, sanitary fitting connection pipes are always connected to the top of the main via a non-return valve and 45° branch connection. |
